Kate Ritchie raises awareness for Dandelion

When Kate Ritchie posted on Facebook asking where to donate baby items, some of her followers suggested Dandelion Support Network. We never imagined the resulting good-will to be as far reaching and substantial as it has been.

Since becoming a mother, Kate has thought about other mothers who do not have access to adequate support and resources to provide for their children. When it was time to pack away clothes that Kate’s daughter Mae had grown out of, she chose to donate some to Dandelion Support Network.

Sarah Mross, General Manager of Dandelion Support Network said, “We were delighted to offer Kate, Stuart and Mae a tour of our facility, explain what we do and how we help families in their time of need with the generous donations we receive from the community.”

“Kate also shared her news with her 180,816 Facebook followers and it’s amazing to see how many people have commented that they will donate at our upcoming donation days , all thanks to Kate spreading our message. The number of Likes on the Dandelion Support Network Facebook page has increased as well.”

Kate very generously contacted companies asking them to join her in donating and secured the following fantastic and very generous donations. Double prams are in high demand and are always in short supply, so this will help reduce our wait list.

10 fantastic prams from Britax Australia

Spocked frocks from Cou Cou Baby Boutique

Care package from Anne-Claire Petit

Enormous box of blankets from Living Textiles

Kate your generosity and support is very much appreciated.
