Volunteering at Dandelion Support Network
Volunteers play an essential role in Dandelion Support Network’s ability to process donated nursery equipment and children's clothes for distribution to families in need through support agencies. We are always looking for additional help to ensure we are able to keep up with the referrals we receive for families in need.
At the moment we are especially looking for volunteers to help process, sort and pack donations at our storage premises in Caringbah and volunteers who can collect items from Caringbah to take home to process.
We now schedule volunteering opportunities each week at our premises in Caringbah. Sometimes these include working bees and Donation Days across Sydney where we rely on volunteers to accept and transport donated goods. Even helping out for an hour will make a big difference to our work.
Please register your interest and be notified of volunteering opportunities as they arise.
Many organisations now offer a Volunteer Program for employees to volunteer and connect with their local community, either individually or with a group of colleagues.
Individual employees are welcome to join our weekly scheduled volunteering opportunities or advertised working bees. Please register your interest and be notified of volunteering opportunities as they arise.
We can also accommodate groups of up to 15 people to assist with a variety of tasks depending on what is most needed at the time. These group sessions are fun, productive and rewarding, and we are thrilled to welcome back a number of corporate groups for their ‘corporate volunteering day’ in 2017.
Group volunteering is usually held between 10.30am and 2:30pm Mondays and Wednesday and 9.30 to 12 Thursdays, however we will try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your group. If you would like more information about group corporate volunteering please email us.
The good work Dandelion does is carried out by our wonderful team of Volunteers.
