Our team accept donations of good quality preloved and new nursery furniture and items for babies and children for families in need.
All our items are processed by volunteers who follow high quality assurance standards so that the goods can be enjoyed by their new owner. Once the items are ready for their new home, they are packed up with love ready for a disadvantaged child. We have high quality standards for the items we rehome. We consider them a gift for a child in a time of need. We hope to make them feel supported and uplifted by the bundle they receive.
A helping hand for children and families in need
Importantly, the work undertaken by Dandelion fills a service gap in the community service industry and is built on a partnership model, working alongside social workers and case managers to support children and families. Dandelion partners with some amazing agencies and support services who work with some of the most vulnerable children and families in our communities. We rely on social workers to share with us what the children really need and to ensure our donations find a suitable home where they truly make an impact.
Our volunteers carefully prepare each item, knowing that without our support, these children would go without. Most of the material goods we provide aren’t luxury items. They are items critical to the health and well-being of babies and children.
Though we do not meet the clients we assist, our services and your generous donations directly support some of the most disadvantaged children and families in the wider community. The people we support may be living in housing stress, escaping domestic violence and abuse, living with mental health issues or refugees making a new life for their family. Your support could be life changing.
