Make a Difference this Mother’s Day

Help more mums find stability, dignity and hope

Mother’s Day is often a time of celebration. A moment to pause, reflect, and recognise the mums in our lives.

But for many of the families we support at Dandelion, the reality looks very different.

Every week, we meet mothers who are navigating incredibly difficult circumstances – starting over, finding their feet, and doing everything they can to create a safe and stable world for their children.

These are mums who are resilient beyond measure. But resilience alone isn’t always enough when you’re trying to rebuild with very little.

That’s where community makes a real difference.

Through donated nursery items, clothing and essential goods, we’re able to help families access the basics they need to begin again. A safe place for a baby to sleep. Clothes that fit. Everyday items that bring a sense of calm, dignity and relief during a deeply uncertain time.

They may seem like small things, but we see the impact every day. When these essentials are in place, it creates breathing room. It restores a sense of stability. And for many families, it becomes a turning point.

This Mother’s Day, we’re inviting our community to be part of that support.

Instead of, or alongside traditional gifts, you can choose to donate and help provide essential items for mums and children who need them most right now.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us support more families as they take their next steps forward.

How you can help

Your donation will help Dandelion collect, prepare and distribute essential items to families referred to us through hospitals and support services across our community.

Together, these contributions add up to something powerful – real, practical support for mums who are doing it tough.
