  • 1. Activity mat/playmats
     

    Description

  • 2. Art & craft materials (new)
     

    Description
    Any NEW art and craft materials such as paper, pencils, paint shirts, stickers and crayons.

    We only accept NEW stationery items for our craft packs.

  • 3. Baby bath
     

    Description
    Plastic baby baths (no bath stands).

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We can rehome baths. If the bath requires a plug please ensure it is included with the donation. Unfortunately if you no longer have the plug we aren't able to accept your bath.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help out our volunteers, please wipe down the bath prior to donating.

  • 4. Baby bottles and teats (new only)
     

    Description
    New baby bottles and teats.

    Yes

    We can only accept NEW bottles and teats that are unopened in packaging.

    Yes (please note we cannot rehome baby slings, only carriers)

    To help out our volunteers, please ensure all carriers are freshly washed before donating them. If you can also please include a manual with your donation that is really useful for our team.

  • 6. Bassinet
     

    Description
    We would LOVE your great condition bassinet and mattress. Bassinets are a great first place for baby to sleep. They are also very handy for clients who have restricted space.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    To ensure baby has a safe place to sleep we need to be very careful with what we rehome. We would love donations of any bassinets from the list below, to give a bub a safe place to sleep. If you would like to donate one that is not on the list, please send a photo and model details to donate@dandelionsupport.org and we can let you know if we are able to rehome it.

    We unfortunately cannot rehome, co-sleepers, cradles, cane baskets and moses baskets.

    How to prepare it for donation

  • 7. Books
     

    Description
    We'd love any childrens books, from board books suitable for newborns up to books for teenagers. We also accept parenting books but not pregnancy or naming books.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We want these books to feel like a gift to their new owner to inspire another young mind. We can only accept books that are in excellent condition, no rips or tears and no marks on the pages.

    How to prepare it for donation
    If the book is a board book, we'd love it if you can wipe down the surfaces before donating. If books can be sorted by age appropriateness before donating that is also much appreciated.

     

  • 8. Bouncers and rockers
     

    Description
    Good quality bouncers and rockers.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We can only rehome bouncers/rockers that have a 3 or 5 point harness. They must be in excellent working order. We also need to include a manual for these items before we pass it on to their new owner. If you can include a copy of yours that'd be a huge help.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help out our volunteers, please wash all covers and wipe down any hard surfaces before donating. Don't forget, a copy of your manual will save our volunteers time searching for it themselves.

  • 9. Breast pumps (manual)
     

    Description
    We'd love to rehome your manual breast pump new nursing mums.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We can only accept used MANUAL pumps or new and unopened automatic pumps to pass on.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help our volunteers out, please clean and sterilise breast pumps and place it in a sealed plastic bag.

  • 10. Breastfeeding supports
     

    Description
    We accept things like nipple cream, stretch mark cream, hydrogel breast discs.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We want these items to feel like a gift to their new owner. We only accept new and unused items.

  • 11. Buggy boards skateboard attachments with matching pram
     

    Description
    Pram attachments like buggy boards or skateboards.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes - with matching pram only

    Standards/ requirements
    We can only accept buggy boards and skateboard attachments if they are donated with the matching pram. To help the new owner feel as special as they should, please ensure all items are in excellent, as-new condition before passing them on.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help our volunteers ensure the buggy board or skateboard is easily matched, if you are able to use masking tape and clearly label the buggy board or skateboard with the model of the pram, it would be a huge help. We also really appreciate it if all hard surfaces wiped down prior to donating.

  • 12. Capsules (less than 7 years old)
     

    Description
    We would LOVE your good condition car seat or capsule. We are always low on these items.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    Safety for little ones in a car is a huge priority for us. It is very important that the seat has never been in an accident. We accept car seats and capsules suitable from birth until 8 years that are sold in Australia (overseas models are not able to be rehomed). All car seats that we rehome need to be manufactured within 7 yrs or less - please look for a date stamp on a sticker or on the shell of the carseat to confirm. They also need to be rehomed with inserts eg head support, so please include them if you can. We also need to supply a manual with all carseats/capsules that we distribute so if you have one to include, it would be appreciated. If you are unsure, please email donate@dandelionsupport.org and one of the team will be in touch.

  • 13. Car Booster Seat (less than 7 years old)

    Booster seat for 4yo+.

    Yes

    Safety for little ones in a car is a huge priority for us. It is very important that the seat has never been in an accident. We accept booster seats suitable for children until 7 years that are sold in Australia  (overseas models are not able to be rehomed). All car seats and boosters that we rehome need to be manufactured within 7yrs or less - please look for a date stamp on a sticker or on the shell of the carseat/booster to confirm.

    We also need to supply a manual with all boosters that we distribute so it if you have a manual, it would be appreciated if you could include this. If you are unsure, please email donate@dandelionsupport.org and one of the team will be in touch.

  • 16. Clothing (birth (00000) - 12 years (kids size 16)
     

    Description
    Great quality children's clothes are always in demand. We accept baby and children's clothes suitable from birth (00000) - 12 years (kids size 16).

    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    All our donations should feel like a gift. To help the new owner feel as special as they should, please ensure all items are in excellent, as-new condition before passing them on. This includes pyjamas, socks and swimwear. For hygeine reasons we only accept underwear that is new with tags.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Our volunteers really appreciate it if all clothing is freshly laundered & sorted into gender & size please before donating. If you can clearly label the sorted items that's an extra bonus for the team.

  • 17. Clothing Accessories - birth (00000) - 12 years (kids size 16).
     

    Description
    Great quality children's accessories such as hats, beanies, socks, bibs, mittens, bonnets, booties,headbands, hair elastics or hair clips.  We accept items suitable from birth (00000) - 12 years (kids size 16).

    Yes

    How to prepare it for donation

  • 18. Cots (made after 2003)
     

    Description
    We'd LOVE it if you can help us provide a safe place to sleep for a bub in need. We are always low on cots and mattresses - so thank you and spread the word.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes (post 2003)

    Standards/ requirements
    To ensure baby has a safe place to sleep we need to be very careful with what we rehome. We can only rehome cots that are made after 2003 and will pass Australian Standards and include all parts. Some cots have the date stamp on the base. We would also love your mattress if it still in good condition and not stained.

    We can NOT rehome any cots that are broken, including any cracks.  If you are unsure, please email donate@dandelionsupport.org and one of the team will be in touch.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help out our volunteers, please wipe down any hard surfaces before donating. It is also helpful if you can please place all the screws/small parts and the manual in a plastic bag and attach this to the base of the cot before donating.

  • 19. Dummies (new only)
     

    Description
    We accept any brand of new in box/packaging dummies.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    We accept any brand of new in box/packaging dummies to include in our nappy bags.

  • 20. Feeding items (as new)
     

    Description
    Sippy cups/drink bottles, lunch boxes, snack containers, cutlery etc in as new condition.

    Yes

    All our donations should feel like a gift. To help the new owner feel as special as they should, please ensure all items are in excellent, as-new condition before passing them on.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Please clean all items before donating. If any of these items are a set, we'd love it if you can bag the set together to make it easy for our volunteers.

  • 21. Feeding pillows
     

    Description
    Pillows used for breastfeeding that are in as new condition.

    Can it be re-homed?  Yes

    We accept breast feeding pillows but do not accept pregnancy support pillows.

  • 22. Foldable Change tables
     

    Description
    Foldable change tables.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    Due to the limited space that the people we support have, we can only accept folding change tables. All change tables must have a working safety strap attached for us to rehome it.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help out our volunteers, please wash all covers and wipe down any hard surfaces before donating.

  • 23. Formula
     

    Description
    Any formula that is unopened and has at least six months before expiry can be donated.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    Please ensure formula is unopened with 6mth+ expiry. We are unable to accept prescription formula.

  • 24. Highchairs
     

    Description
    Any high chairs with a working three point harness.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    All highchairs that we rehome need to have a working three point harness. Please note, Ikea Antilop chairs are accepted - the plastic forms part of the harness. We can NOT accept Highchair booster seats (ones that strap to a chair or hook onto a table).

    How to prepare it for donation
    Kids are messy. We get it. So pretty please help out our volunteers by cleaning your highchair before donating.

  • 25. Linen (bassinet, cot and single bed only)
     

    Description
    Great quality linen is always needed. We accept bassinet, cot and single bed size only, mattress protectors, baby towels, face washers and wraps.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    All our donations should feel like a gift. To help the new owner feel as special as they should, please ensure all items are in excellent, as-new condition before passing them on. Unfortunately we can't accept any linen larger than a single bed size.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Our volunteers really appreciate it if all linen is freshly laundered & sorted into gender & size/type please before donating. If you can clearly label the sorted items that's an extra bonus for the team.

  • 26. Mattresses
     

    Description
    We accept cot and bassinet mattresses.  These need to be in good condition and stain free.

    Any cleaning of your mattress (including vaccuming) prior to donating helps our volunteer team.

  • 27. Nappies
     

    Description
    Disposable (opened packs are ok).

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We accept all size nappies and can rehome open dispoable packs of nappies. Unfortunately we do not accept swim nappies or cloth nappies.

    How to prepare it for donation
    If you can please sort any nappies you donate into size and gender (if relevant) prior to donating and clearly label our volunteer team will be very grateful.

  • 28. Nappy bags
     

    Description
    Any great quality nappy bags, including those with change mats.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

  • 29. Nursing pads (new)
     

    Description
    Disposable nursing pads.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We can rehome any new, unused disposable pads. Half used boxes and loose ones are both accepted.

  • 30. Play Pens
     

    Description
    Any smaller sized play pens (usually the wooden ones) can be rehomed. Unfortunately the larger ones (usually plastic) can't be rehomed due to space restrictions.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Our volunteers would love it if you can please wipe down all surfaces prior to donating. Please also ensure all screws/small parts are included. If you can include these in a sealed and labelled plastic bag that'd be helpful.

  • 31. Pram (single and double)
     

    Description
    We would LOVE your excellent condition pram to help a new mum get out and about. We accept single and double prams.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    All prams must be in working order before we can pass them on to a new family. They must also include a 5 point harness, canopy and red brakes. We also need to provide a copy of the manual with every pram that we rehome, so if you have one, please include with your donation. Please note we do not re-home upright umbrella strollers.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Kids can be messy. Especially when they are strapped in! We would love your help with cleaning your pram prior to donating. If you can also include a copy of your manual with the pram that is a HUGE help.

    If these accessories match a certain pram, it would be very helpful if you can please attach the accessories to the pram (in a labelled plastic bag) prior to donating. We also really appreciate it if all accessories are freshly laundered before donating.

    Description
    Any kids shoes in excellent condition would be great. We also accept adult shoes for teens however we don't accept high heels.

    Description
    We accept great quality sleep sacks/sleeping bags for babies 0 - 2 years.

    Mircrowave sterlisers for bottles.

    We can only accept microwave sterilisers. Unfortunately we are not able to rehome second hand electrical items.

    We'd love it if you can please clean the steriliser before donating. If you have the tongs it came with (or can add some in) with your donation that'd be great.

  • 39. Toddler beds
     

    Description
    We'd LOVE it if you can help us provide a safe place to sleep for a child in need.

    Can it be rehomed?
    Yes

    Standards/ requirements
    We'd love your toddler bed if it is in good condition and has no broken parts or cracks. We also need the manual and all parts included for the new owner. We would also love your mattress if it still in good condition.

    How to prepare it for donation
    To help out our volunteers, please wipe down any hard surfaces before donating. It is also helpful if you can please place all the screws/small parts and the manual in a plastic bag and attach this to the base of the toddler bed before donating.

  • 40. Toiletries for baby
     

    Description
    Wipes, lotions, creams, kids tooth brushes, toothpaste, baby shampoo, bath wash etc (unopened)

    Yes

    We want these items to feel like a gift to their new owner. We only accept new and unused items.

  • 41. Toys and Games
     

    Description
    Newborn to teenage. This can include puzzles, board games, dolls, cars and trucks, developmental toys,

    Standards/ requirements
    We can NOT accept Outdoor toys, toys bigger than 40cm or large activity centres due to space restrictions for the people we assist.

    How to prepare it for donation
    Please help out our volunteers by ensuring all toys are clean prior to donating. If you can help us out by sorting by age before donating that would be great. For games and puzzles, we'd love it if you can check all pieces are included and everything is in working order. For wooden puzzles, it is really useful if these are donated in a sealed plastic bag so we don't lose any pieces in transit.

    **Batteries** For battery operated toys, please remove old batteries. It is costly for us to buy batteries for the toys we get donated, so we greatly appreciate any donations of batteries. Please label batteries if not new in packet. Thank you!

    Due to space restrictions in our clients homes and space limitations of toy packs, we are unable to accept activity tables. If this is in great condition, please consider your local buy/sell/swap group.

     

  • 2. Adult or maternity clothing
     

    Description
    Any clothing larger than children's size 16.

    Can it be rehomed?
    No

    Unfortunately Dandelion can't accept these items. Other charities such as Vinnies or Salvos however would love great quality clothing.

  • 3. Baby swings
     

    Description
    Baby swings.

    Can it be rehomed?
    No

    Unfortunately Dandelion can't accept these items. If this is in great condition, please consider your local buy/sell/swap group.

  • 4. Ball pits
     

    Description
    This includes any size ball pits and the plastic balls that you fill them with.

    Can it be rehomed?
    No

  • 5. Bath seats, aids or stands

    Any bath items other than a standard baby bath.

    Rails suitable for single or toddler beds.

    Any bikes, scooters, helmets or other protective clothing for riding.
